I’m back at it with the second thread in this series, featuring another couple of Solana based projects and applications that are likely to airdrop in the future. Unlike the previous thread, these platforms are yet to release any official information about a possible airdrop, and I mention these out of pure speculation. However, that does mean we’re early on these and this is key to ensuring good airdrop allocations. Without further ado, let’s take a look:
Wormhole is a cross-chain messaging protocol helping to enhance interoperability between over 30+ blockchains, and currently has in excess of 200 applications using their protocol. They recently raised $225M from major investors such as: Coinbase, Arrington Capital and Jump Trading, affiliated with Jump Crypto, the company behind the much anticipated Firedancer.
Whilst Wormhole is not a blockchain itself, it does have plenty of inter-chain use cases, namely:
Since there are over 200 applications using the Wormhole protocol, there are plenty of sites and opportunities to explore, in order to achieve airdrop eligibility. Here are some examples:
NOTE: Wormhole also has a Zealy page, and consistently run new quests. It’s possible for this to be an airdrop criteria.
Phantom is arguably Solana’s best wallet, and is certainly the most popular. It’s simple, clean UI is perfect for onboarding the masses to Solana; it’s one of the first apps any new user will use in the ecosystem. Therefore, a Phantom airdrop could be absolutely massive for Solana, should they wish to do so. Here are some of my suggestions for this airdrop:
Phantom Quests
There are currently two quests for users to complete on the phantom app. You can subscribe to DRiP for free Solana collectibles, which are compressed NFTs (cNFTS) from various artists in the Solana space, and also mint your own NFTs directly from your phone.
NOTE: Both these quests will require at least some $SOL in the wallet, as there is a small transaction fee to pay for each quest.
Swapping Tokens within Phantom
This is relatively straight forward to do, and there are many tokens supported by the app. It does seem a lot more costly to swap on Phantom, when compared to the prices displayed on Jupiter, so do bear this in mind.
General Use of Phantom
I assume that should an airdrop take place, activity using the Phantom wallet will account for the majority of the allocation. To satisfy this criteria, just remain active on Solana, and interact with the hundreds of other applications that this wonderful chain has to offer!
That’s a wrap for Pt. 2. I’ll be releasing Pt.3 very soon, with a fresh batch of airdrop alpha, so if you enjoyed this, drop a follow on X and join the telegram to stay in the loop. Thanks so much for reading!
As always, stay safe and bullish,
ChefGunny.
